Nitehawk celebrates its fifth anniversary with the film that kicked off our beloved brunch screenings: John Hughes’ detention classic THE BREAKFAST CLUB!

Anniversary Note: Nitehawk kicked off our repertory brunch screenings with The Breakfast Club in January 2012. This first brunch lives on in the form of our regular brunch prix-fixe menu: “The Breakfast Club” – one entree plus mimosa or Bloody Mary ($15).

You mess with the bull, you get the horns! Five very different high school kids connect when they spend their Saturday in school detention lockdown because a Jock, a Beauty, a Brain, a Rebel and a Recluse actually have a lot more in common than you’d think…they’re all messed up and have issues with authority! Taking place during one day, John Hughes’ (aka the master of the 1980s teenage comedy) The Breakfast Club really taps into the awkwardness of growing up, with all the sadness and hilarity that entails.
